Hi, I’m Maya—a licensed mental health counselor dedicated to helping you find clarity, confidence, and emotional balance. My approach is collaborative, affirming, and rooted in evidence-based techniques like CBT, DBT, and internal family systems (IFS). Whether you're navigating anxiety, racial trauma, PTSD, identity struggles, or life transitions, I’ll support you in reframing disruptive thoughts, setting boundaries, and fostering self-compassion.
I specialize in working with Black women, BIPOC communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and professionals facing burnout or workplace discrimination. I also provide support for those struggling with social anxiety, PTSD, and the lasting effects of sexual or physical abuse. Therapy with me isn’t just about symptom management—it’s about building resilience, empowerment, and a deeper connection to yourself.
When I’m not in session, you can find me exploring Florida’s beaches, wandering through museums, or hunting for vintage gems. My cat, Gambino, is my ever-present sidekick, offering moral support (and occasional judgment). I also advocate for mental health on social media, making wellness conversations accessible and real.
